About “New South Crossings”
2007 marks the debut of “New South Crossings,” an innovative TV series by WTVI-TV, the Firebird Arts Alliance, and the Levine Museum of the New South. “New South Crossings” brings musicians together from profoundly different worlds, to work together to make soul-stirring music, building bridges between ethnic, cultural, religious and artistic worlds.
The resulting collaborations form profound connections between black, white, Latino, Asian, young, sacred, secular, established and emerging artists, enriching their lives and producing musical magic.
The debut episode will be aired in November 2007, and the first season of this groundbreaking series will be presented in its entirety in 2008.
